How do I get a South Carolina Real Estate License?
Obtaining your South Carolina Real Estate License:
1. Eligibility:
Graduate from high school or hold a certificate of equivalency and be at least 18 years old.
2. Enrollment:
Register for the Unit 1: Fundamentals of Real Estate Course (60-hours). Register of Unit 2 concurrently to access a discounted rate.
3. Exam:
Pass the Course Exit Exam given on the last day of the Unit I course.
4. Application:
Mail in your Certificate of Completion, from the Unit 1 course, along with an application to the SC Real Estate Commission.
5. Background Checks:
Upon receipt or you application, the SC Real Estate Commission will email you instructions for fingerprint criminal and Social Security Number background checks.
7. Advanced Course:
Complete the Unit 2 course, a 30-hour Advanced Real Estate Principles course, before applying for your license.
8. Choose Your Broker:
Select your Real Estate Broker (realty company) with the help of recruitment information provided by us.
9. Application Submission:
Have your Broker submit your licensure application with Passing Score sheets from PSI and proof of completion of the Unit 2 course to obtain your SC Real Estate License.
Class Schedule Options:
* Day Class: Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 1:00pm for 3 weeks for Unit 1. * Evening Class: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:45pm - 9:45pm for 5 weeks for Unit 1.
* Unit 2 Course: Day classes meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00am - 1:00pm for two weeks, while evening classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:45pm - 9:45pm for three weeks.
